New Year's Eve

Hve you ever thought of new years eve in the bush? This was awesome! As we were closing the year 2009, We decided to go up country. This was a far as the Ethiopian borders, in the Samburu arear, pass Isiolo, a small town in the north of KENYA. This is where the Survivor was once filmed. The Samburu's are quite interesting people. They are also a kind of Masaai's. One of the mornings while i was at the lodge- Shava Lodge, I saw them swimming in a river with crocodiles, and as i was tempting to shout at the kids to say" Hey , there is a crocodile down there- meaning i could see it, and see them playing in the water with their mother watching them. One of the hotel staff, said , don't worry, nothing will happen to them. Only Samburus can cross the river with crocodiles. Weird! Yep!
The EVE of the NEW YEAR 2010 This was the best part of the whole trip. We didn't plan to stay there until the new years eve, but we thought what the her, lets do something that e never done before, being away from home on the new years eve.Trust me, it was worth it. We did Dinner, Kareoke and danced the night away in the bush.

Relocating

I have been thinking , wishing , praying and just when I was sure that God doesn’t here my prayer, I was tired of living away from home. Even when I visited home, it wasn’t home nomore, couldn’t stay there, for fear of robbers that they will attack me . I will stay with friends and relatived who were missing me, but it was never the same. It was worse when I tell them that I am visiting my mom. I would pack my bags with exitement made sure that I fill up the car with gas and hit the road. Yes they will be exited too when I say im on my way . But guess what I still don’t have a room there, I left ages ago, I can only share the bedroom with my mom. What is it, is it me, is it God who is not by my side, Oh is it because we always think God is the one to do some magic in our lives without us trying atleast to help ourselves from getting out of our situations. I always say, without action...nothing will be done. And truly God help those who help themselves. So here i am, planning the big move. - Shipping - Packing - Selling - School - Accomodation I have to deal with all this, but its for the good course.

BLANKETS and WINE March '12

LIRA in Nairobi

This was one of the events I didnt want to miss. I like the relaxed outing with freinds and family without pressure. Wake up, prepare yourself for fun!indulge yo eyes with local fashion, you know me, I' a Fashionist. The last time i went to BLANKETS and WINE, I was stark in traffic- this time i refused. I left home early enough to get a nice spot to chill and closer to the stage. I had enough time to capture the scene and the beauty of Nairobi fashionistas. Did I knew i was again at the right spot. LIRA's car parked just next to our spot and we got the first photos of her. I was so happy.
And after the crowd noticed her, it was on...
I am glad i took my family there, as you know the duties of a housewife, had to make sure her family is HAPPY. We had to get out of the place before she sang her last song. You dont want to be caught up with everyone rushing to bit the traffic going home. Untill nextime, im still willing to share more photos. Yours, The Housewife

Its been a minute

Since the last time i blogged. i guess it around the holidays or just after them. I didnt even have some time to tell you how it was in Dar, other than being hot , hot, hot! Thank God I went with my helper, otherwise I was gonna loose it. Three kids and husband, trying to be Fab on the other hand, i dont think so. It felt like it was too short. My advise for you if you want a better holiday- leave the kids at home. Seriously, I might sound like a horrible mother. The truth is, you also want your me/us time besides your kids, then you will be able to enjoy it. Yes you need another one with the whole family to bond, play, fight obviously, that makes you a complete family. Back in the city- Theres been too much going on in my head. Business, future plans...un ending thoughts, that comes, one after the other.Hopefully before the end of the year, I will have a clue if im coming or going. I havent stop fantacising though. i still want my Mention in the village and a small house in the city. A retirement business and yes another baby. Khaya needs someone to play with and grow up with. The other kids are a bit older for him to bond with, So ya, thats it. The past three weeks I have been busy busy busy. Had a stall at the Nairobi Fashion Market and it went well and I am trying to get some orders from South africa for things like Beaded sandals to to with when going home for a visit.

What a relief

My neighbour came back from a long Holiday, and i went to her house to welcome her back to the city with my cup of tea that my husband has made for me. She was busy cooking preparing lunch for her family and i had to steal a moment with her just to catch up. As we were sitting by her nice and lovely verander that she extended, We found ourselves talking about the forthcoming birthdays of our kids soon this month. And she helped me calm / slow down from the depression I had for my boys 1st birthday party. She remided me that i dont need to invite a lot of people, hes just turning 1 and for crying out loud he is only turning 1 and he doesnt even know it and whats going on. This is January, its the slowest and longest month in terms of cash. Phew! what a relief. No w all i ned to do is to buy a few things for the goodie bags and wala! Im done. Ive got: - Hay - Cowboy hats - a few Bandanas - Ive cancelled the Pony since its only my neighbours kids. - Activity pads NEED TO ADD - Red Bandanas as serviettes - Toy animals , if i will get them. - Cryons - Candle - Cups and plates

Its a New Year

Time flies, just the other hour it was last year and today, its another Year. And I asked myself what have I done last year? Well! I have been blessed with a lovely baby boy who is keeping me busy the whole day and night. And today since I woke up , I have been trying to put together an Invitaion for his birthday which is nine days from today.
I know its kinder like too late to pull it off, but lets let me try I might do it. The reason why i havent done it all along is that December is kinda tricky with the holiday, you cant do much but to be lazy and enjy the holidays. worce I was out of the country. nw that im back I am ready to do it last minute.com.

So far , this is what I have, but not sent to receipients.
1st Birthday Invitation.
